Liverpool edged a tiny step closer to the title and are now five points from the Premier League glory. Here's how and when they can win it.
It was a pretty lacklustre Merseyside draw at Goodison Park as Liverpool played out their first 0-0 draw in 39 games - since their last trip across Stanley Park in fact.
Still, it moves them a point closer to glory, with five points needed to absolutely guarantee the title, but there are still a multitude of title clinching options and they could still win it this week with Man City playing twice and the Reds hosting Crystal Palace.
Some scenarios are a bit clearer than others, so let's look at the ways they can clinch that elusive first title in 30 years.
Now let's look at the games coming up and just how the title can be decided on each of them.
Liverpool cannot be crowned kings of England on Monday but they could take a huge step forward thanks to Burnley, if the Clarets can produce a huge upset - the odds tell the story.
Sean Dyche's side were unbeaten in seven before the break, but they've got just one draw in nine against City and after Pep Guardiola's side enjoyed a nice run-out against Arsenal it's a huge ask for the visitors to get anything from this in their first game back.
Match Odds: Home 1/5 | Draw 9/2 | Away 11/1
So we move on to Wednesday, when the Reds will most likely just be looking at the three points to put them in touching distance of the title. The Eagles will be much tougher than the 11/1 on them to win suggests though.
Roy Hodgson's side have won four in a row without conceding to move into ninth in the table, and only four points off fifth place and a possible Champions League spot. They also won three on the spin at Anfield not too long ago.
The Reds will have to improve from Sunday's showing, but you suspect Mohamed Salah will return to help provide a cutting edge.
Match Odds: Home 3/1 | Draw 14/5 | Away 5/6
So if Liverpool win City will need to do likewise as anything other than three points at Stamford Bridge will then mean Klopp's side win the title without kicking a ball.
Don't rule that out as Frank Lampard's side enjoyed a win at Villa and will have an extra day's rest, which can be crucial in this sprint finish to the line. Guardiola may well make changes for Burnley though and his squad is big enough to cope.
As if there's not already enough incentive then a win here also means City avoid the possibility of doing a socially distanced guard of honour for the Reds at the Etihad.
Regardless of other results a Liverpool win at the Etihad will make them champions. If the Reds beat Palace then they can go to Manchester safe in the knowledge that a draw will be enough to end that 30-year drought.
If both teams win their games in the build-up then, again, just a draw for the visitors will be enough.
City need to win both of their games and then this one to ensure that Liverpool leave the Etihad still waiting to confirm their Premier League title. They'd certainly be favourites given the way the two sides played in their respective opening matches of the restart.
Crucially, Liverpool will have had over a week to prepare for this game, with City playing in the FA Cup at the weekend, although this game being Thursday does at least give them three days to get ready.
Well, it starts to get a bit messy then and the glorious season they'd put together could start looking a bit scrappy - however, you could hardly ask for a better bounce-back game than Aston Villa at home to get back on track.
There's no real room for error now for City who are now probably just looking to ensure they cut the gap as much as possible and get in shape for the Champions League while trying to defend their FA Cup title.
Although now these will all have the dreaded * next to them, the Reds can still carve out some Premier League history down the run-in.
