A recap of the Super Sunday Premier League action, as Huddersfield win again but Wembley remains an unhappy home for Spurs.
Tottenham 1-2 Chelsea
Huddersfield 1-0 Newcastle
FT: Tottenham 1-2 Chelsea
Spurs beaten at home for the first time since May 2016, suckered by a late winner from Alonso as they looked to push on themselves having got a slightly-less-late equaliser to Alonso's own stunning early goal. Chelsea, ultimately, did a job on Spurs, who had most of the possession, a string of free-kicks and corners, and only a Batshuayi own goal to show for it. Chelsea's "crisis" over, or at least on hold. Spurs' Wembley woes very much continue.
90+4: Free-kick for Chelsea on halfway. That will be that. "Curse" talk will be ludicrous, because Spurs have largely played well here, but that is what the talk will be until Spurs stop losing precisely this kind of game here.
90+3: Alonso fouled by Sissoko as they contest a high ball. Alonso, in a move as unsurprising and uncontroversial as the earlier game, named man of the match.
90+2: Not the same quality of delivery from Eriksen on this occasion, easy for Courtois.
90+1: Another free-kick for Spurs on the left...
90: Janssen is on for Trippier. File that under "last throw of the dice".
89: YELLOW - KANE. Kane also into the book, presumably for something said to the officials.
88: GOAL! ALONSO! Tottenham 1-2 Chelsea
Alonso at the double! Chelsea have won it! Again! Spurs botch an attempted counter-attack as Luiz wins the ball back from Wanyama in midfield. Alonso is in down the left and drills a shot under Lloris from a tight angle.
87: YELLOW - ALONSO. Chelsea' goalscorer has his name taken for something that happened during that free-kick.
86: Chelsea head on it again, but only for a corner this time.
85: Eriksen slightly isolated on the right and desperately wants Bakayoko to foul him. Bakayoko obliges.
84: Wanyama hooks the free-kick clear.
83: Chelsea free-kick in dangerous territory now as Alderweireld brings down Pedro wide on the right. The Belgian convinced he got the ball, but the linesman was right there.
82: GOAL! BATSHUAYI OG! Tottenham 1-1 Chelsea
Another wonderful ball in from Eriksen, and Batshuayi at the near post nods it past the helpless Courtois. Hard to say Spurs don't deserve that on the balance of play.
81: Alli wins a soft free-kick off Bakayoko. Another chance for Eriksen to deliver.
80: Spurs bring on Sissoko for Davies as they strive to get something from the game. They're now 5/2 to do so.
78: Double change for Chelsea. Pedro and Batshuayi on, Willian and Morata off.
77: Great run from Dembele, one of those seemingly impossible forward bursts where he collects the ball and somehow emerges 10 yards and five defenders later still with the ball. Tries to poke the ball through for Kane, but just can't quite do it.
76: Corner cleared, but Spurs still on the attack. The ball is worked to Kane on the edge of the box, but his shot is blocked.
75: Eriksen himself in behind this time but his cross is turned behind for Tottenham's 13th corner.
74: Spurs back on the attack as Eriksen plays in Son down the right. But his low cross doesn't reach Kane, and Chelsea clear.
73: Post! Chelsea's turn to hit the base of the post as Willian's skidding shot from 25 yards beats Lloris and cannons back off the upright.
72: Morata beats Alderweireld in a 10-yard race. Won't see too many players do that. Can't capitalise on it having got to the ball, but an eye-catching turn of pace.
71: Corner breaks to Moses who fires a shot over the bar. Cheslea have taken the sting out of the game and the crowd, though. Chances starting to come on the break as Spurs tire.
70: Classic breakaway almost seals the points for Chelsea but Morata dallies on the ball and his shot is deflected wide for a corner. Probably should've done better there.
69: Son in the play straight away as they work the ball across - via Son, Alli, Dembele - to Wanyama who slices wide.
68: Change for Spurs as they make the obvious attacking change of Son for Dier.
67: Better from Chelsea, who do get an attack going through Moses and Kante on the right. Spurs eventually clear their lines.
65: Training ground stuff at the moment. Attack v Defence. Defence still holding firm, but Chelsea just can't get out at the moment.
64: Alli wins another corner. It also comes to nothing.
63: Spurs try to play it quickly, and bodge it. Chelsea have the chance of a break, and bodge it. Not the best 30 seconds there in what has been a decent game.
63: Kane tries to wriggle through the Chelsea defence but has to settle for a corner.
62: Really good defensive header forces Tottenham all the way back to Lloris to build again.
61: Wanyama harries Willian into the error, before Kante dumps Alli to the turf. Spurs free-kick, wide on the left.
59: Great skill from Alli on the left, flicking the ball over one defender then darting past another. His cross hits a defender, but the penalty appeals look optimistic. Typically lively stuff from Alli since the break - he's 7/1 to get the next goal of the game.
57: Counter-attacking chance for Chelsea comes to nought as Bakayoko fouls Alderweireld.
55: Brilliant from Trippier to get on a long Alderweireld ball and find a first-time cross, but Kane was - for once - on his heels. Azpilicueta reacted quickest and clears. Kane kicks the post in frustration, knowing he missed the break there.
54: Good from Luiz, dispossessing Eriksen in a dangerous area just as he was looking to play the decisive pass. A thing of which he is enormously capable.
53: Willian's corner is cleared to Kante, who works it back out to the taker. His cross this time arcs out of play and back in.
52: First Chelsea attack of the half brings a corner as Kante plays the ball off Dembele, who can't keep it in.
51: YELLOW - VERTONGHEN. Again the ball comes straight back, but a loose touch from Alli sees Chelsea back in possession, and a reckless high tackle from Vertonghen sees his name rightly go in the book. Could even have seen red for that. Naughty.
50: Clearance from Davies' cross ricochets off another blue shirt and into Courtois' hands.
50: Chelsea still yet to get meaningful possession in the Tottenham half since the restart.
49: The corner ends in Courtois' hands, but they are struggling to clear their lines.
48: Kane twists and turns his way past Rudiger, stays on his feet when he might have gone down looking for a spot-kick and sends a low cross into the centre. It's turned behind for yet another Spurs corner.
47: Kane's header from the corner is blocked, and Chelsea clear Vertonghen's follow-up.
46: Spurs do pick up where they left off. Eriksen into the box and sees an effort blocked behind for a corner.
46: Spurs get the second half under way.
HT: Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea
Spurs on the attack again at the end of the half, but the whistle comes. Chelsea started much the stronger and took a deserved lead through Alonso's delightful goal-kick. For the first half-hour, Spurs had no answer to Chelsea's five-man midfield, but Alli and Kane have grown into the game and Spurs could easily have got back on terms before the break. Harry Kane hammered one against the post and was denied by Courtois' legs, and is 9/2 to score the next goal, while it's 100/30 for a red card to be shown in what has threatened at times to boil over as this fixture is wont to do. It's 7/4 for a goal before the hour mark, which might be worth a look if Spurs pick up where they left off.
45+2: David Luiz does brilliantly to get to Vertonghen's low cross ahead of Dier. Gets a double result, with the ref wrongly adjudging the touch to be from the Spurs man, so it's a goal-kick.
45+1: Chelsea have been the better side for most of the half, but their clinging on here. Another corner for Spurs.
45+1: We've got three added minutes in this first half. Another corner for Spurs as Davies shot is deflected wide.
45: Eriksen's corner is met by Kane, but it's behind him and he can't generate any power. Easy catch for Courtois.
44: The corner is cleared, but Dembele wins another.
43: Spurs ending the half strongly. Kane turns provider this time for Davies, whose deflected effort is turned wide by Courtois.
42: Spurs straight back on the attack, but Wanyama's effort is easy for Courtois.
41: Almost a wonderful equalising goal for Spurs as Dele spins Azpilicueta delightfully before surging forward. He lays the ball off for Kane who cuts inside his man and drills an angled shot into the post. The August Hoodoo lives on...
40: First Dembele and then Wanyama are fouled in decent positions. Twice the ref plays a dubious advantage. Think Spurs would rather have had the set-piece, certainly after Eriksen overhits a pass for Trippier.
39: Any touch from friend or foe on a glorious ball in from Eriksen and it's 1-1. Morata, Kane and Dier all go close.
38: YELLOW - LUIZ. Good refereeing. Luiz realises Eriksen has given him the slip and, off the ball, clotheslines the Tottenham schemer. It's spotted. Free-kick to Spurs on the right, yellow card for Luiz.
37: Another lengthy spell of Tottenham possession spent with 10 blue shirts between them and the goal. No way through.
34: Bakayoko now down after a robust aerial challenge from Dier who, in traditional football parlance, Needs To Be Careful Here.
32: YELLOW - DIER. Dier follows Rudiger into the book for an ugly, out-of-control lunge on Luiz.
31: YELLOW - RUDIGER. Kane starting to give Rudiger real problems, and the Chelsea defender goes into the book for his latest foul.
30: After some half-hearted penalty appeals when Kane goes down under aerial challenge from Kane, the ball breaks again to the Tottenham striker who drags a shot wide from 20 yards.
29: Save! Better from Spurs. Dier slips the ball through for Kane who holds off Rudiger and gets his shot away, but Courtois saves with his legs.
28: Chelsea well on top at the moment. Only Dembele's fully extended right leg prevents Willian playing in Moses. Reminder that Spurs dropped four points at White Hart Lane all season last term.
26: Bakayoko heads behind for a corner. Davies whips it in, but Alderweireld heads wide. Think the whistle had gone anyway.
25: Chelsea now a very backable 10/11 to go on and take the three points, with Spurs 3/1 to turn things round.
24: GOAL! ALONSO! Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea
It's Alonso who takes it, and he gets it spot on. Whipped over the Tottenham wall and into the top corner, giving Lloris no chance.
23: Free-kick cleared to Luiz, who is tripped by Alli. More dangerous free-kick here now - firmly in Willian territory.
22: Wanyama bundles Moses to the ground wide on the right. Clear Chelsea free-kick.
20: David Luiz fires over the bar as the game settles into something of a pattern of pretty passing and then long-range shot.
20: Foul in the box as the corner comes in, Chelsea back in possession.
19: Eventually it's Dembele who pulls the trigger, rifling just over the bar from 20 yards. Deflection on it, so a corner to Spurs.
18: Spurs patiently trying to pick the lock but Chelsea have the door bolted.
15: Fake drumming echoing out of the Wembley PA system. Bit embarrassing. Neither defence quite switched on, neither attack able to capitalise. Yet. Morata currently a 10/1 Price Boost to score a header; he won't get an easier chance than the one he's already missed.
14: Christensen error gives Alli a sight of goal, but the angle is against him and he lashes it over the bar.
13: Morata charges down a Lloris clearance, but the ricochet bounces kindly for the Spurs keeper.
12: Lung-busting forward run down the left, defenders bouncing off him, but he can't produce a serviceable cross at the end of it. Chelsea goal-kick
10: After a long spell of Spurs possession, Kane takes matters into his own hands and drills a shot goalwards from 25 yards. Straight at Courtois, who fumbles initially but no harm done.
9: Early evidence suggesting Spurs are going to find it hard to pick a way through Chelsea's packed midfield. Spurs seeing a lot of the ball, but having to go backwards a lot.
7: Corner is worked short, but the cross when it comes is easy for Courtois. Tottenham to win and both teams to score an early 9/2 Price Boost.
7: Spurs work the free-kick short, and Dier's cross from deep is headed over his own bar by Bakayoko.
6: Foul by Luiz on Alli. Spurs free-kick 40 yards from goal.
5: Huge miss! What a chance for Morata inside five minutes. He gets between Alderweireld and Trippier for a free header six yards out from Azpilicueta's perfect delivery, but mistimes his effort and screws it wide. That could be a huge moment in this game.
4: Chelsea go wing-back to wing-back as Moses sprays the ball out to Alonso. He goes back to Kante, whose cross is cleared.
3: Nice flick from Morata puts Willian into some space, but he's now the furthest man forward in this 3-5-1-1 set-up. Dembele snuffs out the threat before reinforcements can arrive.
2: First Spurs attack of the game, but Luiz cuts out Alli's pace aimed crossfield for Eriksen.
1: Kante swings a cross in from the left. Lloris gathers. Roars from the approximately one million people inside the stadium. I'm no good at judging the size of crowds.
1: Chelsea get the first Premier League game ever played at Wembley under way.
1559: Mauricio Pochettino and his staff take their seats in the dugout. There are some faintly unconvincing THFC seat covers on those seats.
1555: There's a decent atmosphere inside Wembley to be fair as Spurs fans with their flags try to paint this red stadium white and navy blue.
1550: Charlie Nicholas has another 25/1 RequestABet for this Wembley clash. The Official Sporting Life RAB is Kane to score, Tottenham to win, and Dele to be carded at 8/1. There are, obviously, loads of others. Probably better ones.
1546: The pre-match talk is that Chelsea are going to be a 3-5-1-1 formation today with David Luiz in midfield. Interesting.
1545: Spurs currently warming up in a training top that is either wonderful or terrible, can't decide which. Shades of early 90s Manchester United away kits, from a distance.
1540: Harry Kane confirms in interview with Geoff Shreeves that he wants a Wembley win and his first Premier League goal in the month of August. He's 7/4 to get both today, the greedy thing. A reminder of the respective monkeys upon backs: Spurs at Wembley: two wins in 10. Kane in August: no goal in 11.
1530: Fancy a chance to win £5,000? Play Sky Sports’ Fantasy Six-a-Side for Tottenham v Chelsea and you could be in the money.
All you have to do is select six players from the two sides, including your Elite Player from the four most valuable players, then sit back and keep track of your team's scores via the dedicated Match Centre, if for some inexplicable reason you're not getting absolutely everything you could ever possibly want and need right here.
1525: So attention now turns to Whi... Wembley where Tottenham have Kieran Trippier and Victor Wanyama back in the starting line-up to face Chelsea. It's runners-up v champions from last year, but while the Spurs side is a familiar one it's a very different-looking Chelsea XI that heads to Wembley here. Dele Alli is 7/2 to score in a Tottenham win, as he did in this fixture last season, while Alvaro Morata is 13/2 to open the scoring. A 3-1 Tottenham win is 18/1.
FT: Huddersfield 1-0 Newcastle
The throw comes to nothing, and Huddersfield make it two wins - and two clean sheets - from two in the Premier League. They're good value for the points in a game settled by the one real moment of quality in the final third from Mooy. A black cloud hangs over Newcastle, a club where all is not well. They've got nothing to show for their first two games back in the top flight.
90+5: The free-kick is cleared for a Newcastle throw. They will get to take it.
90+4: Free-kick for Newcastle on halfway. Last chance. Elliot coming forward to take it.
90+4: With forty seconds to go, the ball is in Lossl's hands. That'll do for the Terriers.
90+3: Atsu crosses from the left, Schindler there again to head clear. Huddersfield are almost there.
90+3: Nothing comes of the free-kick. Newcastle back in possession.
90+2: Hefele replaces Ince and eats up a few more seconds.
90+1: YELLOW - LASCELLES. Identical to Mounie's moments ago, so we would have to at least acknowledge consistency from the official. Both harsh for mine. Four added minutes, by the way.
90: Schindler - who was perhaps Mooy's closest rival for man of the match - beats Joselu to a hopeful ball aimed long into the Huddersfield box, and Lossl gathers.
89: Knockdown gives Joselu a chance on the volley from 20 yards, but his effort is tame. On target, but no trouble for Lossl down to his left.
88: YELLOW - MOUNIE. Slightly harsh booking for Mounie, catching Clark with an arm as they contested a high ball.
88: Mooy named Sky's man of the match. Goalscorer in a 1-0 win very much a default MotM setting, but hard to argue here.
86: Corner comes to nothing, but Huddersfield retain possession in Newcastle's half. They'll be quite happy with that.
85: Palmer wins a corner from the Huddersfield break. Diame paying the price for playing the ball blindly square. It's 3/1 that we see another goal here.
84: Diame gives the ball straight to Mooy to end a promising Newcastle attack and potentially spark a Huddersfield one.
82: The corner is hooked clear.
81: Murphy straight into the game with a goalbound shot blocked behind for a corner.
79: Murphy replaces Perez as Benitez plays his last card. Newcastle now 4/1 to get something from the game.
Tottenham v Chelsea team news:
Tottenham: Hugo Lloris, Kieran Trippier, Toby Aldeweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Ben Davies, Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama, Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Harry Kane
Subs: Michel Vorm, Kyle Walker-Peters, Kevin Wimmer, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Son Heung-Min, Vincent Janssen
Chelsea: Thibaut Courtois, Antonio Rudiger, Marcos Alonso, N'Golo Kante, Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Victor Moses, Willian, Andreas Christensen, Cezar Azpilicueta, David Luiz.
Subs: Charly Musonda, Kenedy, Pedro, Michy Batshuayi, Fikayo Tomori, Kyle Scott, Willy Caballero
76: Diame replaces Hayden in the Newcastle midfield.
75: Another cross into the Newcastle box. Manquillo does nothing to stop Ince getting his ball in. Clark heads clear and then shakes his head as if to say "I'm not angry, just disappointed."
74: The corner almost drops for Palmer off a Newcastle head, but Elliot gathers.
74: Smith wins a corner on the right as Huddersfield look to make the points safe.
73: Ince sets Billing away down the left and his long, bouncing stride takes him clear of any pursuers before a low, teasing cross evades everyone and slides out of play for a Newcastle goal-kick.
72: Palmer replaces Kachunga as Wagner shuffles his pack for the closing stages.
70: Into the last 20 we go. Huddersfield now 2/7 to make it back-to-back wins to start their Premier League adventure, Newcastle 22/1 to turn things round.
69: First Huddersfield change: Quaner replaces van la Parra, whose forward forays have caught the eye.
69: What a chance! The corner breaks to Perez six yards from goal and unmarked, but his volley on the spin is sliced high over the bar.
68: Joselu looks like he's in after a neat one-two, but Lowe gets across and does enough to put him off. A weak shot in the end, turned behind by Lossl.
67: Perez too quick for Huddersfield, and the linesman. Springs the defensive line with a curving run as the free-kick is played through to him, but is wrongly flagged offside.
66: YELLOW - BILLING. First Huddersfield player in the book as Billing is, perhaps harshly, penalised for a foul on the left.
64: YELLOW - JOSELU. The Newcastle striker goes into the book after catching the keeper while attempting to charge down a clearance.
63: Another chance for Newcastle. Wonderful ball from Moreno finds the offside-trap-beating run of Manquillo. He tries to cushion it square across goal first-time but Lossl is there to gather.
61: Newcastle butcher a decent possession as Manquillo, with time to pick out a cross, overhits it beyond the far post. Ritchie attempts to salvage things but no joy.
59: Moreno robs Mooy, and Newcastle suddenly have a promising attack on with bodies forward. Atsu dallies, though, and Huddersfield escape.
57: Mooy showing his value at the other end now with a well-timed tackle on Newcastle substitute Joselu.
56: Short-corner routine from the Terriers. The cross when it comes is punched clear by Elliot.
55: Huddersfield attacking again down the right, but Clark gets to the ball ahead of Kachunga and concedes a corner.
53: YELLOW - HAYDEN. Second Newcastle player goes into the book.
53: Huddersfield now 4/11 to complete the expected trio of early-season pacesetters on six points with Manchester United and West Brom.
52: Instant response from Benitez. Joselu replaces Gayle.
51: At half-time, Thierry Henry on Sky was saying that all the game was lacking was quality in the final third, on the final ball. He just got that quality.
50: GOAL! MOOY! Huddersfield 1-0 Newcastle
Lovely opening goal, from the best player on the pitch. Mooy plays a one-two with Kachunga on the edge of the box and then bends a shot beyond Elliot's despairing dive.
48: Van la Parra on the charge again, but his pass inside for Kachunga is just short of pace. He tries to keep the ball alive for Mounie but the chance is gone.
47: Another cross into the Newcastle box, but it's not the best from van la Parra and easily dealt with. Still risky, though, for Newcastle.
46: Newcastle get the second half under way. No changes for either side.
Half-time Price Boosts
Nobody's gone closer to opening the scoring than Ritchie, and he's 5/1 to get his name on the scoresheet. Kachunga is 11/1 to score the first goal, while a draw and under 2.5 goals at 6/4 looks worth a second look.
HT: Huddersfield 0-0 Newcastle
No goals but plenty of action in that first 45. Huddersfield are stretching the game with their width and non-stup running, while Newcastle's more intricate attacking endeavours have also created a moment or two. There will be goals in the second half, guaranteed. (Not a guarantee.)
45+2: The half-time whistle blows as Ince's corner is cleared.
45+1: Into the only added minute as Ince swings in the corner, which Mounie gets his head to and prompts something of a goalmouth scramble. Eventually Newcastle manage to smuggle the ball behind for another corner.
45: Just as I type that, Huddersfield are away again and Mbemba has to make a full-length block at the expense of a corner to nullify a three-on-three situation.
45: Final minute of an entertaining half. Newcastle gradually coming to terms with Huddersfield's pace and energy as the half wears on.
43: Mooy goes long looking for the run of Kachunga but overhits it, and Mbemba can watch it out for a goal-kick.
41: YELLOW - RITCHIE. Ritchie has his name taken for a studs-up tackle on Mooy. Huddersfield might have wanted the advantage to be played there; the ball had broken kindly for a breakaway.
39: Hayden convinced he's won a corner for Newcastle, but the linesman indicates a goal-kick to roars of approval from the home fans.
37: Rare quiet spell of midfield possession from the home side in what has been a frenetic opening 35 minutes or so at the John Smith's.
34: Great but slightly last-ditch defending from Schindler, sliding in to block Gayle' shot after he's smartly found by Atsu's cutback, and then tackling the Newcastle striker when the ball runs loose. Absolutely no chance that this remains goalless. And as I've said that, let's all go and back no goalscorer at 7/2.
33: Van la Parra looks to be a full-back who will be mostly described as marauding. Bit too eager this time as he's pulled up for a foul on Manquillo, and then gets a word from the ref after hoofing the ball away.
32: Newcastle living dangerously with the number of crosses being allowed into their box. Feels like only a matter of time before one lands on Mounie's head.
31: Van la Parra gets the better of Atsu and delivers a decent cross from the left. Clark equal to it.
29: Ritchie gets two chances to deliver a telling ball in, first from the free-kick and then when the ball is cleared back out to him. Fails both times.
28: Zanka gives away a free-kick wide on the Newcastle left. Ritchie to swing the ball into Huddersfield's zonal defence.
27: Matt Ritchie now a 7/2 Price Boost to score. Gone closest for a Newcastle side enjoying their best spell in the game.
26: Optimistic penalty appeals from the Newcastle fans as Schindler blocks a header, but it's been a better couple of minutes for the beleaguered visitors. Bit of possession, and they've managed to slow things down a touch.
24: Newcastle look to work an opening on the right, but Gayle is flagged offside.
22: Newcastle all over the place. They give the ball away near their own right corner flag and livewire Mounie pinches the ball and tees up Ince. His shot is blocked, and Mounie is offside as the ball spins into his path.
20: Another cross from the left aimed at Mounie causes problems for the Newcastle defence. Different circumstances and assorted mitigating factors, but this has been a more testing opening 20 minutes for Newcastle than they got from Tottenham a week ago.
17: Huddersfield regain possession from the resulting corner and look to launch a counter-attack. Comes to nothing on this occasion, but another glimpse at what this side is all about.
16: SAVE! Wonderful save from Lossl to deny Ritchie. Neat work from Ritchie and Perez on the left ends with Ritchie sending a curling effort that looks destined for the bottom corner until the keeper gets a fingertip to it with a despairing dive.
15: Poor touch from Atsu serves only to tee up Ince for a shooting chance, but his left-footed snap-shot, though well struck, is straight at Elliot. Attempts on goal now reading 5-1 in Huddersfield's favour.
14: Schindler slices a clearance, but recovers sufficiently to prevent a corner, and the Newcastle attack fizzles out.
12: Mounie and Lascelles tangle in the box. Newcastle man just does enough to get his body in front of the Huddersfield striker.
11: Newcastle can't fully clear their lines from Mooy's delivery, and the ball is eventually worked left to right for Kachunga to whip in a teasing cross that Mbemba just about manages to nod away from the path of Mounie. Notice served by the Terriers, who are now slight favourites here at 13/8 against 7/4 in the early live betting.
10: Huddersfield hassling and harrying Newcastle high up the pitch and eventually winning a free-kick in a promising spot wide on the right. Hosts getting on top now in the early exchanges.
9: The Terriers getting on top. Neat touch from Kachunga sets Mounie away running at a pack-pedalling defence. He lays the ball off to Ince, whose shot is blocked by Clark.
8: Mooy's corner is headed cleary to Smith, whose ambitious first-time effort from range sails harmlessly high.
7: Huddersfield finding their feet here. Ince leads a counter-attack and van la Parra busts a gut to get an overlap on the left. His cross is aimed for Mounie but headed clear. Huddersfield regain possession and force a corner.
6: Already a chance of sorts at each end, and Sky Bet's first live Price Boost is Huddersfield to win and both teams to score at 11/2. Mooy swings in a cross from the left, Elliot gathers. Mooy's central importance to this Huddersfield side already in evidence early doors.
5: Mooy gets Huddersfield's first home shot on target in the Premier League following a half-cleared cross, but his 20-yarder lacks power and is easily gathered by Elliot down to his right.
4: Delay in play as Mbemba gets treatment for a blow to the face. Newcastle can ill afford any further casualties at the back after last week, but he's fine to continue.
2: Early pressure from Newcastle results in Mooy being dispossessed and a chance created for Dwight Gayle. Desperate but successful last-gasp block from Zanka snuffs out the threat, but a good start from the visitors.
1: We're under way at the John Smith's. Newcastle all in black, Huddersfield in their usual blue-and-white stripes.
1320: Price Boosts you're after, is it? No problem. There are loads of those. Elias Kachunga to score and Huddersfield to win? 5/1. Dwight Gayle to score first? 7/1. Matt Ritchie to score from outside the box? That's 12s. A 2-0 Huddersfield win? Yours now for an enhanced 14/1.
1315: A feature on Huddersfield now, containing all sorts of interesting information about this far-flung football outpost. Did you know they won the league three times in a row nearly sixty years before football was invented? "People now know where Bournemouth is," opines Graeme Souness. "It'll be the same for Huddersfield." Sky have done their homework, here, though; no repeat of the club's Whittaker lie.
1258: There's a whole other game yet, but Sky Sports are already getting very excited about the Wembley action later. The man with the knowledge, Geoff Shreeves, is bringing us all kinds of snippets about how Spurs are making Wembley feel more like home. Counter-intuitively, one of those ways is the fact Spurs are using the 'away' dressing room. They've also got White Hart Lane's "iconic cockerels" in the tunnel, which is almost exactly the same as them being on the roof like they were at the now-bulldozered Lane.
The pitch has been a constant talking point due to it being larger than White Hart Lane's. Shreeves announces that Wembley's 100 per cent Hallowed Turf is also a 97 per cent Desso surface. Come on, Geoff, like we didn't all know that already. It's also been cut to the precise length Mauricio Pochettino wants and cut in a three-yard grid a la White Hart Lane. It's also the only correct way to cut a football pitch, dovetailing nicely as it does with the measurements of a penalty area.
1245: As ever, a dizzying array of RequestABets available as far as the eye can see for this one at 8/15, 700/1 and pretty much all point in between. Check out Charlie Nicholas' 25/1 selection here.
1235: Teams are in at the John Smith's, and the first thing we'll selfishly note is that Joselu can only make the bench. I've always liked Rafa Benitez, but you can go off someone. I'm also losing my nerve on that away double. That Newcastle team is just a bit too Championship, isn't it? Maybe it'll be a draw, or a home win. One of the three, anyway. Confident on that.

1220: Not long now until we get that all-important team news, but probably just long enough to read David John's preview before placing your bets. I like his overs bet in the opener here, but would wait on the team news before getting involved with Joselu.
For what it's worth (clue: v little) I like the Super Sunday away double here. I think there has been on over-reaction to both Chelsea and Huddersfield based on one game. Newcastle, meanwhile, were coping very nicely thank you with Tottenham last weekend until Jonjo Shelvey decided to Jonjo Shelvey it, and Spurs appear to have been priced up as if they were still at White Hart Lane. Which, as we've established, they are not.
We all know about Spurs wretched Wembley record, but until they put it to bed then I can't trust them against the champions at anything around even money.
Sky Bet will give you something approaching 9/1 on the Newcastle-Chelsea party-pooping double and that looks fair enough to this observer.
1210: Early controversy from Huddersfield, where the club's "Five Things You Might Not Know About Huddersfield" contains the dubious claim that "The new Dr Who, Jodie Whittaker, comes from Huddersfield". She's from Skelmanthorpe. It's eight miles away, lads. Honestly, this is Mirfield's Sir Patrick Stewart all over again.
1200: Welcome to the live blog that's as shambolic as a West Indies batting collapse, but lasts slightly longer. A momentous Super Sunday as two stadiums make their Premier League debuts. For the first time ever, there will be a Premier League game played at the Home of Football, while later on Wembley also makes its bow in the Best League in the World™.
Your expectations were confounded, and from thence the humour arose. Just so we're clear, that's the high-water mark of today's blog, okay? It's not going to get any better. You can't say you weren't warned. If you do hang around, then we'll have team news, betting tips and more in due course.
