Matt Le Tissier: Cardiff City in trouble of relegation with Burnley and Southampton tipped to survive

Soccer Saturday pundit Matt Le Tissier says Huddersfield and Fulham will be relegated, and thinks Cardiff will join them in the Sky Bet Championship.

Firstly, I think it's pretty clear that there are two sides already certain to be relegated from the Premier League. Huddersfield and Fulham are doomed for me.

I think there is one spot to play for, for sure, in that relegation zone, and there are a few sides who will be worried about it being them.

I think Sol Bamba being injured is a big blow for Cardiff, however they are not without their chances and have a game in hand on Burnley for instance.

They have shown great spirit in some of their games, like their win at Southampton, to keep them in touching distance so they'll feel they can still get out of trouble.

They will give it a good go with Neil Warnock in charge, but I am expecting something around 35 points to keep a team up this season and, for the likes of Southampton, Brighton and Burnley, that is about one win and a couple of draws away for those teams.

Burnley’s run-in is quite tricky so they will have to get good results against good teams.

I think Southampton’s games are a lot simpler than Burnley’s, so if there was a team to be fighting it out with Cardiff then I would say it would be them.

Brighton may have to be looking over their shoulder too but for me it will be Cardiff who will sadly go down.
