The Sporting Life football team has been getting ready for the new campaign with an extensive range of previews.
Now our tipsters have got their thinking caps on to predict the winners of the Premier League, Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One and Sky Bet League Two.
Check out their verdicts before you place your divisional acca or yankee - that's a four-fold acca, four trebles and six doubles for the uninitiated - for the new season...
Nick Hext - Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Fleetwood & Mansfield at 2,252/1
Manchester City are primed to become Premier League champions after a sensible summer of recruitment and Middlesbrough are clearly the pick to bounce back to the top-flight at the first attempt. Fleetwood are my outsiders for title glory in League One and I can't disagree with Mansfield leading the way in the League Two odds.
David John - Tottenham, Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth & Lincoln at 8,909/1
It’s a toss-up between Tottenham and Manchester United for me in the Premier League and I hand the vote to the former, while Sheffield Wednesday could well follow in the footsteps of Brighton having suffered heartbreak in the play-offs before becoming serious contenders for the title. Portsmouth might remain in the lower reaches but are club with much bigger aspirations and should thrive under the experienced Kenny Jackett and Lincoln can join Pompey in making it back-to-back title successes.
Matt Brocklebank - Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth & Luton at 1,408/1
Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane are considered two of the most exciting players in the top flight and can help inspire free-scoring Manchester City to the Premier League title. Middlesbrough can go one better than when second to Burnley a couple of years ago in the second tier and Portsmouth look in a very good place going into League One. Luton have seemingly recruited for the next level in League Two and that can boost the strong squad that Nathan Jones has already put together.
Andy Schooler - Manchester City, Sheffield Wednesday, Wigan & Lincoln at 2,782/1
With Chelsea weakened by Diego Costa’s loss, Manchester United yet to address their lack of goals from midfield and Spurs’ move to Wembley likely to cause them problems, big-spending and goal-laden Manchester City look the most likely Premier League winners. Sheffield Wednesday also look full of goals in the Championship – their attack looks unrivalled and if they can improve defensively they should be in the mix. Wigan have performed at League One level in the past and have appointed a good manager in Paul Cook (he led Portsmouth to the League Two title last season). Finally, the gap between League Two and the National League has never looked smaller and Lincoln can prove that.
Ben Coley - Manchester City, Aston Villa, Portsmouth & Cambridge at 4,527/1
Manchester City are the shortest-priced team to win any of the top four divisions, and while the Premier League is competitive, I’m not keen to oppose them. In the Championship, Aston Villa started to look like a side moving in the right direction towards the end of last season and their solid-looking defence can provide the foundations for a strong title push. Things get tougher afterwards but we’ve seen clubs climb through the divisions before and Portsmouth are equipped to do so, while in League Two, Cambridge are a brilliantly-run outfit and that could count for plenty.
Tim Clement - Tottenham, Wolves, Bradford and Luton at 8,711/1
In terms of betting value, Tottenham are undoubtedly the Premier League pick. Wolves (10/1) are another club moving in the right direction and should be the best technical outfit in the Championship after adding Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota to their talented squad. In League One, Bradford are the same price despite only missing out last time in the play-off final, while the favourites in that division are all in worrying downward spirals. Finally, in League Two, Luton are the team to back with a vast array of attacking talent.
