Faroe Islands v Malta

Faroe Islands in action against Spain

An absolute classic in Group F as Faroe Islands welcome Malta with both sides firmly out of the running for qualification.

Malta's only victory of the campaign came in the reverse fixture in March while Faroe Islands have been easily beaten in their other six games.

I'd be expecting next-to-nobody watching this game on TV, but it doesn't mean there isn't value to be had in the betting.

The best avenue to explore is backing it to be a low-scoring contest. Malta have failed to score in any of their away games so far, while the hosts only have one goal at home.

Goal difference, alongside the points tallies, shows just how far back these two sides are in comparison to their rivals. This is a battle to try and avoid finishing bottom, but even a victory for the Faroe Islands would see them occupy sixth spot.

A 0-0 draw is a general price of 6/1 if you're fancying no goalmouth action, but the 6/4 price on under 1.5 provides a safety net while also providing a good return.

Best bet: Under 1.5 goals in the match at 6/4

Gibraltar v Georgia

Gibraltar can strike against Georgia

I'll cut straight to the chase, it's worth backing a team yet to score this qualifying campaign to strike on Tuesday night.

As expected, Gibraltar have experienced little joy in their pursuit of a first major tournament appearance. They've lost all five of their contests so far, conceding 16 goals in the process.

Their home form has seen two played, seven goals against - although Denmark's six goals contributed a significant part of that.

The hosts can draw confidence from their home contest against Ireland. Mick McCarthy's side sit level with Denmark on 12 points but were only able to secure a narrow 1-0 victory.

All five of Georgia's points have come at home. They experienced similar fortunes to Gibraltar in being convincingly beaten by Denmark with a narrow defeat to Ireland in their two games.

What is of interest is that Gibraltar are having opportunities to find the net in their home games. They've registered at least two shots on target in each of their last five games in front of their own supporters, scoring two goals in two of those games.

The three games where they didn't strike were against Denmark, Ireland and Estonia - three teams significantly higher than them in the FIFA World Rankings.

Just six places separate Georgia and Armenia in those rankings, but Gibraltar managed to net two in their Nations League clash with Armenia at the end of 2018 - a confidence booster which also demonstrates their ability to compete with those in the top-100.

We can also look to Georgia's defensive struggles on the road to improve the case for the hosts. They've conceded in 12 of their last 14 away from home in all competitions, which includes the likes of Latvia, Luxembourg, Jordan and Moldova.

Best bet: Gibraltar to score 1+ goals at 13/8

Switzerland v Republic of Ireland

The Republic of Ireland's decision to appoint Mick McCarthy as their manager for the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign has proven to be a wise one so far as they sit within the qualification places after six games.

Hoping to steal a spot in the final stages is Switzerland. They made the knockout stages of the 2018 World Cup but find themselves trailing in the chase for a Euros appearance.

Ireland remain undefeated in their quest for a spot at next summer's tournament, although they were held to a surprise draw away at Georgia last time out.

"Aaron Connolly's had a chance running through and Darren hasn't made a save," McCarthy said after that game. "So for all the possession and moving us around, he's not made one save.

"We could have been better offensively, but defensively we were very good. If you had offered me four points in the games against Georgia at the start of the group, I'd have taken it."

There may have been some disappointment with that outcome but they still find themselves in a great position travelling to Switzerland.

They can also draw confidence from the point they picked up away at Denmark in June. They're clearly a tighter unit under McCarthy, that's outlined in the fact they have only conceded two in their six games so far.

A price of 8/5 looks generous on Republic of Ireland or Draw on the double chance, while draw and under 2.5 goals in the contest at 10/3 could also be one to consider.

Best bet: Republic of Ireland/Draw on double chance at 8/5
