Eden Hazard has moved from Chelsea to Real Madrid on a five-year contract for a fee that could reportedly rise to £150million.

The Belgian leaves Chelsea after seven successful seasons, with two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, an FA Cup, League Cup and several individual accolades in his trophy cabinet.

Eden Hazard was an influential player at Chelsea
  • Following Chelsea’s 4-1 victory against Arsenal in the UEFA Europa League final, Eden Hazard lifted his sixth major trophy in seven seasons with the Blues. Amongst those successes were two Premier League titles in 2014-15 under Jose Mourinho and 2016-17 under Antonio Conte. The Belgian was also named the Premier League player of the year in 2014-15.
  • Since the start of the 2012-13 campaign, Hazard has been directly involved in 191 goals in 352 appearances; 94 more than any other Chelsea player in this period.
  • Hazard’s brace in the Europa League final versus Arsenal saw him become the first player to net a double in the final of a major UEFA competition for an English club since Mark Hughes for Manchester United against Barcelona in the 1991 Cup Winners’ Cup. He also became the first Chelsea player to achieve this feat in the process.
  • Eden Hazard scored more goals for Chelsea in 2018-19 than he had in any of his seven seasons at Stamford Bridge (21 goals). The Belgian also provided 17 assists in all competitions this season, only in 2012-13 (19) had he registered more.
  • The Belgian attacker set his highest total for goal involvements in 2018-19, having a direct hand in 38 goals (21 goals, 17 assists); six more than his previous best total for Chelsea, set in his debut season in 2012-13.
  • 2018-19 saw Eden Hazard register more assists in league competition than any other player in Europe’s top five divisions (15).
  • In the Premier League, Eden Hazard will be celebrated as one of Chelsea’s all-time greats, with only Frank Lampard (237) and Didier Drogba (159) being directly involved in more goals in the competition for the Blues than Hazard (85 goals, 54 assists).
  • Eden Hazard is one of just three players to both score 50+ goals and provide 50+ assists for Chelsea in Premier League history alongside Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard. There have been just 13 different players achieve this feat for a single club in the competition’s history.
  • Only four players, all of whom are out-and-out strikers, reached 50 Premier League goals for Chelsea in fewer appearances than Eden Hazard (155 games). Hazard reached the milestone in 29 fewer games than fellow club icon Frank Lampard.
  • As a creative force, Eden Hazard supplied 595 goalscoring chances for his teammates in the Premier League during his spell at Stamford Bridge between August 2012 and May 2019; 208 more than any other Chelsea player.
  • In fact, Hazard’s total of 595 chances created is the most of any Premier League player since the start of the 2012-13 campaign, ahead of notable playmakers such as David Silva, Mesut Ozil and Christian Eriksen.
  • Eden Hazard attempted (1441) and completed (909) more dribbles than any other player since the start of the 2012-13 campaign in the Premier League. It was this enigmatic ability on the ball which garnered heavy attention from opposition players, with the Belgian drawing more fouls than any other player (638).
  • Eden Hazard scored seven goals in all competitions versus Arsenal, against no other side did he net more for Chelsea. Only versus Newcastle and Southampton (11) did he produce more goals and assists for the Blues than versus Man City (10).
  • Eden Hazard will depart Chelsea having scored 110 goals in all competitions, the ninth-most in the club’s entire history.
  • Eden Hazard scored the goal to secure the Premier League title in two campaigns – in 2014-15, his goal against Crystal Palace gave Chelsea a 1-0 win and secured the title for the Blues, while in 2015-16 his equalising goal against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge earned Chelsea a 2-2 draw and in doing so meant Spurs could not catch Leicester City in first-place, thus earning the Foxes the Premier League title; the Belgian remains the only player to score more than one Premier League title-winning goal.
