Wolves' Europa League involvement may have had an impact on their Premier League form, although Nuno Espirito Santo's men are still unbeaten.
They have three draws to their name and will have to continue to manage their squad given the quick turnaround between games. A group of Besiktas, Braga and Slovan Bratislava also gives them a great chance of progression.
Everton know all about the Europa League given their campaign in 2017/18. That said, it didn't pose too many problems to their domestic form as they were out at the group stage and would go onto finish eighth.
Moving on to this season and the Toffees have found goals hard to come by. They've managed to hit the net just once in their opening three games, but saying that, Wolves' tally of just two doesn't put them in a much better position.
In fairness, Everton did manage to hit four past Lincoln in the Carabao Cup in midweek. While it was against lower league opposition it does at least give them that scoring feeling again.
The low-scoring start to the season, combined with Wolves' game in Europe on Thursday night, should mean we see a tight, potentially scrappy affair at Goodison Park.
That could bring cards into the equation, which is the best avenue to explore in this contest. The referee appointment should also mean we see a few dished out on Sunday.
Anthony Taylor has officiated four games this season, three in the Premier League and one Champions League qualifier, and has handed out a huge 19 yellows and one red so far.
40+ booking points is available at 4/5, highlighting how more cards are fancied when these two sides meet.
That means there is value in backing individual players to be booked. The eye-catching one is Bernard, with the wide man already having one yellow this season.
He sits in joint-sixth when it comes to fouls committed in the Premier League this season, and he's joined on the same number by Everton left-back Lucas Digne.
Both players are available at good prices to be shown a card here. Bernard at 13/2 while Digne can be backed at 5/1; two worth taking given the contest.
