Neil Warnock will be hoping Cardiff can make it seventh time lucky in their search for a first Premier League win of the season.
The Bluebirds have endured a difficult return to the top flight so far, picking up just two points from their first six outings, and were thrashed 5-0 on home turf by champions Man City last time out.
The clash in South Wales has been labelled as 'massive' by City defender Greg Cunningham, with Tottenham and Liverpool to face in two of their next three fixtures following Sunday's match.
Burnley, meanwhile, will be hoping to start a run after getting their first win of the campaign courtesy of a 4-0 thrashing of Bournemouth.
Sean Dyche's side are now out of the Europa League and able to concentrate on their domestic campaign after a disappointing start.
The Clarets suffered another blow in midweek though as they lost in the Carabao Cup third round clash against Sky Bet League One side Burton, and Dyche will be keen to see a reaction from his squad.
This match may not be the most eye catching of Super Sunday fixtures, but the need for points could make it an entertaining - and maybe scrappy - watch.

Score prediction: Cardiff 1-2 Burnley (Sky Bet odds: 11/1)
A low-scoring 1-0 Burnley win was the initial thought but the feeling is, with Cardiff at home, they will find the back of the net.
Sean Dyche's side showed their capabilities last season and the Europa League qualifying schedule arguably played its part in their poor start. After getting their first league win last weekend, they will be full of confidence and should record back-to-back victories for the first time this term.
Best bet: Burnley to win at 11/5
With Burnley being away from home, Cardiff are favourites to win and that gives you good value to back the Clarets. Their morale-boosting 4-0 drubbing of Bournemouth should provide the springboard for them to continue.
Goalscorer bet: Ashley Barnes - score and win at 4/1
The 28-year-old scored twice in the win aginst Bournemouth to become the second highest Austrian goalscorer in Premier League history (see Opta facts below). His substitute cameo could be enough for Sean Dyche to hand him a starting place and he is available anytime at a best price of 13/5. Boost it to 4/1 by backing Barnes in a score-and-win double. A physical encounter like this could be the perfect fixture for Barnes to lead the line alongside, or in place of, Chris Wood.
