Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds United (Hillsborough, Friday, 1945 BST, Sky Sports Football)

Leeds were handed their first defeat of the season as they fell to a surprise 2-1 loss at home to Birmingham, although Marcelo Bielsa's men will be eager to bounce back at Hillsborough.

They come up against a Sheffield Wednesday side who have seen mixed results in recent weeks, with two wins and two losses in their last five in all competitions.

Set-pieces could be key to deciding who wraps up the points here, with Wednesday scoring five goals already this season from dead-ball situations.

Leeds themselves have scored three, largely in part due to Barry Douglas' involvement in the starting XI, having signed for a bargain £3m fee from Wolves in the summer.

The 29-year-old is a real presence down the left-side of the pitch for United, and his ability on free-kicks and corners could see him notch his first goal of the season having already contributed three assists.

Douglas grabbed five goals and 14 assists during Wolves' Championship winning season in 2017/18, highlighting the attacking danger he possesses on the pitch.

He has come close to scoring on more than one occasion this season, with free-kicks in dangerous situations presenting opportunities to find the net.

The visitors rank seventh in the division for shots outside the box, showing how they aren't afraid to try their luck from distance. Douglas is a player capable of finding the net from range.

Leeds are also a side that like to attack from out wide. Away from home, 44% of their attacks have come from the left, the highest figure in the division. That again shows how the defender should be heavily involved for them going forward.

Douglas often looks to overlap Ezgjan Alioski and create attacks from there. While lining up as a left-back, expect to see him high up on the pitch almost operating as a left-winger when Leeds are in the opposition third.

It'll be interesting to see how Leeds respond after their first league defeat of the season. Sheffield Wednesday away would probably be a game that they wouldn't want at this time, but they are a side capable of victory.

It is a game that could be highly-entertaining though given the form of these two. The Whites have a point to prove after last weekend, while Wednesday will want to continue their push up the table and may see this as another scalp to claim.

Leeds' away form has been as good as Wednesday's home form though. They've picked up wins over Norwich and Derby (or Frank Lampard's Derby County as they are seemingly know as now) while picking up draws in tricky away ties against Swansea and Millwall.

Score prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 1-2 Leeds (Sky Bet odds: 8/1)

Best bet: Barry Douglas to score anytime at 8/1
