EVENING SESSION
TV Coverage: Sky Sports Main Event/Arena (1900 GMT)
A-D Group Matches (Best of 9 legs)
Rob Cross to beat Michael van Gerwen at 7/2
It's certainly no secret how good Rob Cross is despite this still being his debut season on the PDC circuit, and his recent run to the European Championship final - as well as his 5-1 victory last night with an average of over 103 - showed just how comfortable he's now becoming on the major televised stage. He lost that final to MVG, who has beaten him five times out of six in 2017 but only one of those has been one-sided. Van Gerwen is clearly a man in form as he seeks a third successive TV major but there's something special about Cross and I feel he's too big a price in what is a very short race to five leg format.
Noppert & Lennon both to win at 3.4/1
Danny Noppert caught Daryl Gurney on a very good day during a heavy 5-1 but he has the talent to bounce back with a victory over Darren Webster while Steve Lennon played much better during his loss to Gerwyn Price, averaging just shy of 97, than a hapless Jamie Hughes did against Raymond van Barneveld. Both these marginal outsiders make up quite a nice double.
AFTERNOON SESSION

E-H Group Matches (Best of 9 legs)
Corey Cadby to beat Peter Wright at 11/5
I didn't expect either player to lose their opening games on Saturday but Corey Cadby was made to pay for a dreadful display on his doubles against Alan Norris while Snakebite found BDO world champion Glen Durrant in red hot form. Cadby fought back from 4-1 down to force a decider before missing a match dart and I expect him to come out all guns blazing against a player he defeated earlier this season at the Auckland Darts Masters and show us just why big things are expected from him. The pressure is on Wright, who crashed out in the group stages of the Champions League of Darts in September, so I feel it's worth backing what would be a minor upset in the opener.
Durrant, Suljovic & Chisnall all to win at 2.81/1
Glen Durrant was superb during his victory over Wright and should have too much for Alan Norris while Mensur Suljovic, who is now an established force on the big stage, won four legs on the trot yesterday to find some momentum ahead of his clash with Michael Smith. The third part of the acca is Dave Chisnall who defied Scott Mitchell's 100 average to win 5-2 on Saturday.
