The sixth of this season's eight World Series of Darts tournaments took place from August 25-27, as Phil Taylor targeted a third Perth Darts Masters title.

But 'The Power', who landed the inaugural crown in Melbourne last weekend a month after winning his 16th and final World Matchplay title in Blackpool, crashed out in the quarter-finals to Raymond van Barneveld as his old foe went on to face Gary Anderson for the trophy.

Perth Darts Masters: Betting odds

Phil Taylor will be highly-fancied to win his third Perth Darts Masters crown having won the inaugural Melbourne title last weekend a month after winning his 16th and final World Matchplay title in Blackpool.

Standing in his way will be the likes of Peter Wright, who he beat in both the above finals, Gary Anderson and Raymond van Barneveld but there is no defending champion Michael van Gerwen, whose partner recently gave birth to their first child.

Australian sensation Corey Cadby will again be a live outsider having been so impressive in beating Taylor en route to the Auckland Darts Masters final a fortnight ago although the Power got his revenge in Melbourne last week.
