He has a three-pound penalty to carry which won’t make things easy but JAYAREBE is fancied to follow up his taking win in the Feilden Stakes last time.
That three-and-a-quarter lengths defeat of Whip Cracker represented a career best effort, he’s only had three starts to date so is clearly capable of improving again and the drying ground holds no fears for him.
ALKASIB – 3.40 Chester
He was one of the most progressive handicappers of last season and ALSAKIB is fancied to register a first pattern success here.
He shaped very much as if needing the run on his return in the John Porter and is entitled to come forward significantly for it. He needs to but the ground is fine for him and the Balding team is in great form.
