Steven Thomson is back in training for St Mirren after a virus forced him to miss the last two games.
The midfielder was only one of seven first team regualrs who sat out the home defeat to Hamilton on Saturday.
And Buddies boss Gus MacPherson could name him in the squad to face Rangers this weekend.
MacPherson told the Daily Record: "Steven is back training but is still a bit under the weather.
Hopefully he will get through a full week's training and be in contention for the game at Ibrox as we need all our experienced players."
