Midfielders Scott Brown and Shaun Maloney did not travel to Germany with Celtic for Thursday night's Europa League Group C clash with Hamburg at the Nordbank Arena.

Celtic sit bottom of their group with one point from three games and need a win if they are to have realistic hopes of qualifying.

However, they will have to do without Brown, who is still troubled by an ankle injury while Maloney is out with tendonitis.

Hamburg boss Bruno Labbadia will give a fitness test to defender Jerome Boateng, who picked up a knock against Monchengladbach.
